A knowledge-sharing event investigating current opportunities and the future of context-aware information delivery on mobile devices.

Birmingham City University invites you to a dissemination event highlighting the results of the Location, User and Context-Aware Information Delivery (LUCID) project, which has been exploring the potential of wireless devices to deliver context-aware information. The project is being led by Birmingham City University, partnered with the University of Wolverhampton and Digital Birmingham, and is funded by Advantage West Midlands as part of Birmingham’s Science City project.

* Keynote speaker, Ajit Jaokar, author of Mobile Web 2.0 from the Oxford Internet Institute, will explore the potential in context-aware information delivery
* Dave Harte, Economic Development Manager at Digital Birmingham, will look at regional innovation opportunities in “Digital Opportunities - Creating the Conditions”
* Professor Keith Osman, Director of Research at Birmingham City University, will expand the context around the LUCID project and outline the University’s research in the area

Birmingham City University will also showcase its LUCID prototypes and give details of upcoming innovative projects. The University of Wolverhampton will also demonstrate their LUCID project activities.
